Try the following:
1. Capture an alt-sysrq-t or alt-sysrq-p or alt-sysrq-b or alt-sysrq-m backtrace when the hang occurs.
2. Capture whatever is on the screen.
3. Look for kerlnel oops in the /var/log/messages or /var/log/syslog after reboot.
